At Cubby’s, we believe community comes first. Whether it’s ensuring local schools have the resources they need or helping our neighbors put food on the table, we’re proud to stand behind causes that matter to the people we serve every day.
Raising Dough, Raising Spirits
Since launching in June 2018, our Raise Some Dough campaign has been a pillar of our give-back efforts. What started at our Blair, Nebraska, location has now expanded to 18 Cubby’s stores across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
Through this ongoing campaign, Cubby’s donates $1 for every large one-topping Godfather’s Pizza Express pizza or breakfast pizza sold. These funds directly support local schools and youth-serving organizations, helping to bridge the gap between what budgets can provide and what students truly need. From classroom materials to athletic equipment and spirit merch for students and faculty, these donations help create more enriching environments for learning and growth.
As of the end of the first quarter of 2025, we’re proud to share that Raise Some Dough has raised an incredible $216,651. That’s thanks to you, our customers, who make every pizza purchase count.
“We are proud of Raise Some Dough; it’s an ongoing way for us to support the communities we serve, said DeLone Wilson, President of Cubby’s. “We are grateful to our customers for helping us support local schools and youth programming.”
In fact, during our most recent check presentation, David Kraus, Superintendent of Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Public Schools, shared that some of the funds are being used for extras not covered by the school budget, such as spirit wear for students and faculty, which helps strengthen school pride and connection.
Rounding Up for a Greater Cause
In addition to Raise Some Dough, we’ve recently launched another impactful initiative: Round Up for Charity, which supports the Food Bank for the Heartland and Feeding South Dakota.
From now through December 31, 2025, customers can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at any Cubby’s location. Those extra cents add up fast, and every bit goes directly to helping individuals and families facing food insecurity.
With food banks currently serving four times the number of households compared to the pandemic, your spare change has never meant more. One in eight individuals and one in five children across the Heartland face hunger daily, and together, we can make a difference.
“Our local food banks play a critical role in helping families who don’t have enough to eat,” said DeLone Wilson. “We wanted to use our platform to assist in the mission of making sure that Heartland families don’t go hungry. We believe our round-up campaign is a great way to fill that need.”
Brain Barks, President and CEO of Food Bank for the Heartland, echoed that sentiment: “We are grateful to Cubby’s for their dedication in supporting our mission and our neighbors in need.”
Community Is at the Heart of What We Do
Whether you’re grabbing a slice of breakfast pizza or simply rounding up your purchase, you’re doing more than shopping at Cubby’s, you’re helping make a real difference. Together, we’re creating stronger schools, fuller plates, and brighter futures.
From all of us at Cubby’s: thank you for standing with us as we give back to the communities we proudly serve.
